Lady Gaga surprised everyone with new release 'The Cure'. While 'The Cure' was completely unexpected we couldn't have expected anything less from Gaga. 'The Cure' was premiered at Coachella this past weekend, much to the crowd's amazement Lady Gaga delivers an excellent performance. The only thing is the entire outcome of the song itself. Ultimately Lady Gaga can do no wrong when it comes to vocals and stage performances. However, the song as a whole tends to fall a bit... flat.
The song starts out with an electronic vibe, clearly smooth in transition between Gaga's vocals. Clearly, the song, off the bat, feels like a ballad. Yet... as we hate to say it 'The Cure' at least the back beat with the synths sounds a little bit Justin Bieber instead of Lady Gaga's own creation. Whether 'The Cure' is a way to distance Gaga from her previous tracks to show a sort of growth on her part, might be the answer. Although Gaga is trying to show a different side to her persona this time around. Gaga is known to reinvent herself over and over each album, why should this song be any different? But the question is simply, is the answer Gaga is reinventing to see where her career is headed next?
Gaga sings about giving herself to this individual, giving them everything. Even describing how love can be the cure for healing, as well as promising to always be there. Now Gaga could be talking directly to an individual or simply speaking to millions of people. Is 'The Cure' a play on how music can soothe over some of the pain? Whatever might be the outcome, 'The Cure' is on another field we haven't seen from Gaga before. And for that, appreciation is shown.
