Ed Sheeran’s Big comeback!

Every singer needs to have his/hers own unique style (that’s very different from the others) to draw attention to themselves. It’s very hard to form your own sound, but Ed Sheeran really has found his. If you hear his song or a song that he wrote you’ll definitely recognize him. His newest album really exploded everywhere around the world especially the singles “Shape of You” and “Castle on the hill”. It contains generally pop songs and a little bit of rap.

The album starts with the song “Perfect” which is a slow love song and it’s perfect for a beginning. It has a highlighted rhythm, especially in the refrain. In the songs “Eraser” and “New man”  Ed shows his ability to rap. “Eraser” has a strong lyrics that explains the problems and struggles to become famous and that it’s not all about the money when you get to become famous. “Save myself” and “Happier” are slow songs while “Barcelona” is a more energetic song. The next song is “Supermarket flowers”. This song is totally relaxing with a beautiful piano melody which perfectly fits with the voice of Ed Sheeran. “Shape of You” is definitely the biggest hit not just from the album but from 2017. It was number one on almost every list for a long time and still holds a place somewhere. “Castle on the hill’ is also one of the biggest hits from the album. “How would you feel”, ”Dive”,  “What do I know” and “Hearts don’t break round here” are very restful songs that just make you wanna love Ed.

He is one and only and he simply rocks the world with his guitar. Sheran is giving us an example that you should never give up on your dreams. He is also a songwriter and most of the songs that he sings are written by him. So he is a successful man and everybody should appreciate his work.

When it comes to this album I think that it’s a very enjoyable album and everybody must have heard at least one of his songs. If you haven’t then you should check it out.

The song “How would you feel” almost didn’t make it on the album and Ed explains it in an interview. Here’s what he says: “My girlfriend’s from my home town but she was working in New York for like three years and she’d flown back for a festival in our home town and that’s when we kind of rekindled, I guess. When she was taking her cab back to the airport, it was like a three-hour drive and I was sat at home on my own and I thought I’d write a song quickly and send it to her so she’s got something to listen to on the drive and then I forgot about it. And then when the album was finished, I asked her what her favorite song was and she said ‘You’ve forgotten it exists’ and then sent it to me and I quickly recorded it and put it on. It was a really fast turnaround.”
