Back in the early 2000's when Punk Pop, Pop Rock wasriding high with many bands coming out of the wood work, The Veronicas were kind of the duo you either loved or hated. So in 2005 sisters Jessica and Lisa Origliasso released their debut album. To the shock of the world, their debut album The Veronicas was played endlessly on every radio station across the United States. I remember seeing the music video for '4ever' and 'Everything I'm Not' over and over again. However it would be '4ever' leaving the first impression on who The Veronicas were. To preteens the duo was a band that not only every girl with a close friend or sister wanted to be a part of, but ulimately we would grow up to be just as cool and kick ass as The Veronicas turned out to be.
With this new arrival of Alternative Rock Pop combination taking hold, even a style of dress, red lipstick, dyed hair all with the possibility of trashing a motel room. Wild, fun and completely bratty for any preteen or older teen. The Veronicas gave young female teens a sense of retaliation without consequences, you could even go as far as saying that the duo gave some the reason to start their own bands.
In an era were Avril, Fefe Dobson and The Veronicas ruled the charts, not only were preteen girls listening but they listened loudly. Espeically while being a part of that particular era, it's safe to say that angry girls actual playing guitars was heavily needed. Individuals to identify with and individuals that were just like us...girls. What The Veronicas cover in '4ever' is the fun, getting away aspect but also the whole living in the moment. Which all teenagers are highly capable of doing.
Now days The Veronica's music has evolved into adulthood however the dup still have their signature fire laced throughout their music.
