It's happening.

This is not a drill, people. It's happening!

Today is the day that Little Monsters, Lady Gaga fans, have been waiting for for three long years... the announcement of her new single, done through a series of pictures on Instagram that formed a mosaic announcement on her account.

Coming in September, Perfect Illusion is officially the first single from her upcoming fifth studio album, currently known among the Monster community as #LG5. We've known it's been coming for a long time - the promise of new music this year isn't a new one. We just didn't know when it would happen or what it would be.

Produced by Mark Ronson and Tame Impala's Kevin Parker, it's sure to pave the way for another great era from the first lady of pop music.

I can't wait. I'm not even sure this has actually happened.
