50 years since the release of Revolver

Exactly 50 years ago the world first heard "Revolver", the seventh album of the Beatles. It was the August 5, 1966 when Liverpool decided revolutionize the world. 14 songs sufficed for it. 5 composed by John Lennon, Paul McCartney 5, 3 George Harrison and Ringo who gave Paul. The album is among the best of all time and was the settlement of gradual change that made the Beatles youth pop to rock and psychedelia.

The genius of the most influential and important band of all time, was accompanied by a brilliant mind, George Martin, who was also the producer of the band, a constant friend who enriched the innovative spirit of the boys.

In "Revolver" compositional ability George Harrison devoted himself, showing all his intellect and brilliant in their songs. The disc is also strongly influenced by the effects of LSD in their sounds. With the release of the album, the Beatles went from teen pop to more complex and mature compositions with great musical innovations and use of new instruments and experimental sounds. As the moment of consecration of the LP as LPs designed to be heard from start to finish.

It lasts 34:45 minutes and was recorded by EMI Studios between April 6 and June 21, 1966. The cover artwork was created by German artist Klaus Voormann, very close person to the Beatles from the beginning when they made the Hamburg tours. The illustration includes pictures cut pictures of group members made between 1964 and 1966, while the cover photo was the work of photographer Robert Whitaker.
