Metropolis - Public Access TV

New York City may have an upheavel of bands coming out from the wood work since the last boom in the early 2000s. Already a number of publications have deemed Public Access TV a grand band by bringing something back or continuing on with what The Strokes first possessed in those early years.

What Public Access TV does best is that they don't even try. Here is a band with a song called Metropolis, the first time I was introduced to them and my first initial thought was a simple...yes. The band has an almost European quality to the way they play, that Indie spectre of times passed by yet a breath of fresh air. Why has it taken such a long time for a band to come about and give us something to wish for? Nevertheless start with Metropolis, a song that has this wholesome gratitude. But do not let that effect your decision solely based on a wholesome idea. The best line "I don't want to live in California, I'll take New York any day". Now that is a line that we all want to hear, not to bash California but I've been their a few times and the overrated aspect has officially crossed the line.

Public Access TV not only has a driven need to release great music but they are bringing New York back with them. And boy, have we missed that New York character playing a part in music.
