A fitting tribute to a great man

In my track by track review of Linkin Park’s One More Light I wasn’t to find of “Talking to Myself”, but there is nothing like a new context to change my opinion. Released mere hours after the singer’s death, the video of “Talking to Myself” is a great tribute to Chester as it shows him doing what he did best: wow a crowd with his talent, sincerity, and boundless energy.

I’ve been critical of Linkin Park’s poppier direction, which kind of feels like we left on a fight, but the end result is an album that celebrates love and communication. Even if Chester couldn’t follow his own advice, something that he certainly should not be judged for, he, and Linkin Park where always about positivity, about getting better. He will be sorely missed, so let’s just enjoy the great man at work.
