London Grammar are fast becoming one of my favourite bands. While their first album is nothing more than fine (it's first half is excellent, then gets a little repetitive), every track they have released from their forthcoming second album has had me absolutely captivated. The latest single is the album’s title track: "Truth is a beautiful thing", and according to the details about the albums track listing, the song will be an appropriate closer.
The album will open with the previous singles: "Rooting for You, and "Big Picture", all of which hint that this album will be one of the landmark releases of 2017. Slated for release on June 9th, the band have brought some serious talent to the producer’s chair. Aiming to elevate the material will be Paul Epworth (Florence + The Machine, Bloc Party), Greg Kurstin (Sia, Beck), Tim Bran and Roy Kerr and Jon Hopkins, with the band hoping that that much talent behind the scenes will translate into an impressive album. From everything I've heard from them so far, London Grammar have nothing to worry about.
