Eric Gray Perspective on Working On It

I 'm a a self tought guitarist that as been doing music all my life and a small business owning in Brooklyn NY.

This song is a New York song and it has a real feel of reality but and a sense of slowing things down because everything in the city is moving fast all the time.

I remember when I was a baby hearing music and i was amazed by the feeling and the sounds. The feeling was something I can't decribe but I did undertand 

that music was then and still now a powerful force.

I knew when i was as young as I can remember  I wanted to be a artist. 

I feel that i made a mix of genres with this song and the album and i call it R&B Soul Rap. 

 It sit's at the intersection of r&b/soul/rap —where spoken word, rhythm, singing and message meet soulful arrangements and guitar-driven musicality. The album reflects a natural artistic progression, connecting the foundation of rap with the sophistication, emotional and social depth of Contemporary Black Music.

I explore the love themes more. I have seen many things and love is the only thing that you just can keep down no matter what.

If would go on tour with an artist it would be, Silk Sonic. I feel that they are soulful and they have old and new elements in their music like I have.

My favorate artist is Marvin Gaye and I would decribe his music as a social love meeting that never dies or goes away.

My music is full of reality but love with a twist of smoothness.

Sade, Marvin Gaye and Micheal Jackson, I choose these artist because they are the best of the best and they have deep meaning and feeling in their lyric's.

My dream performance would be in front of real true fans in a stadium as they are  singing the lyrics and I'm looking out seeing them and holding up their lighters.

Hmmm I'm not sure??

I want people to feel love pure energy and the free things that money can't buy in life like joy, happness, freedom, togtherness and God Blessing's.  

My favorite way of sharing music is live in front of people.

True, loyal and dedicated.

Yes I practices every morning after i eat six day a week. I just gets better over time.

Success for me is completing what i set out to do. I don't think awards, trophies, bling or top selling records are success. I think that being healthy 

having Christ love plus God blessing is real success.

When I performed live and how people responded to my music and i can see their reaction.

I think I can do that by being myself and and that will keep me staying oringinal in all that I do and that how one changes thing.

The role of an artist is to entertain and bring current event of the soul.

Michael Jackson's Beat It. It's a song that fight againts the odd and win in real life.

Dealing with a major record lable and not knowing, if I would be free to be me because I felt that was becoming a number just a product too them.

I can't say that Lol.

I would go back to phycial tangable's CD's and Vinyl's.

I did it all to put food on the table and to keep a roof over my head.

I just worked hard practiced stayed close to me family,  listened and watched music and performers that had soul and love in it.

Well it can be but it can be very rewarding. At times music can be a really good friend that help release stress and unspoken feelings.

I just look at life like anyone else. I just keep my two feet on the ground and keep everything real at all times.
