HimSelf Perspective on Walk Away

Walk Away is one of the first releases off the upcoming album. The album is a complete story of a long, beautiful but sad relationship from start till end. This song  in particular, celebrates the part of a breakup when you realized you did everything you could. When you know maybe you could've loved better, but you could not have loved any harder. When you see the other person coping thru social media and dating sites, and you know they still miss you even though they don't admit it. It is about that moment when you know you did every extra reach out and attempt to do things right, and you just have to walk away.  Walk Away with love.

This album is unique, in that when the relationship began, I started a playlist. For the 7 years of the relationship I always added music to the playlist that was relevant to what I was going thru in the relationship. So when it was over, I had this music catalog that chronicled everything we went thru. I used all those artists and songs on that playlist to influence this album. 

This song and this album are both very personal to me. A labor of love and expression of closure I never got from my ex. It is paying homage to the ups and downs of that relationship, and I tried to honor it by envoking every emotion. I wrote, produced, mixed, engineered, and mastered every track. Thats my voice and even me doing the DJ scratches on songs too. I am very proud of this because I am not a great singer and it took a lot of production software to get it to sound so good !
