JBug Perspective on Let’s Be Honest

I'm JBug and I've been very passionate about music for years. I've been skeptical about the industry and how difficult it is to get the right sound. When I'm not writing or working on music, I'm working in my garden and being an Uncle. When I'm not doing that, I'm driving...transportation trucks that is. Imagine that, a truck driving Artist; but it definately gets the bills paid.
Music background: I was in choir all throughout my childhood. Classical, Jazz, Quartet, theatre, etc... You name it, I've done it. So the music i put out is a product of all the skills I've aquired.

Being that this song is about internal conflict of staying in or leaving a relationship creating further stress and heartbreak, sometimes the most difficult thing to do is stay. You know that promises will be made and broken, but you decide to work on it with your partner until it just doesn't work any more. This song is the honesty that happens before parting ways. We've all been there before, Let's Be Honest.

I was in 1st Grade and had the courage to get in the school's talent show. I use to hear a song called "Life" by K.C&JoJo from the movie 'Life' soundtrack. I told my mom i wanted to be in the talent show and she suggested i sing the song since i sang it so much. I remember the feeling i had and the reactions i saw as i performed and at that moment i knew what it was I wanted to do.

The decision was made as a child performing at that talent show in 1st grade, but i knew with my circumstances and lack of finances that i had to go a different route to get to the destination. It took years of work to independently fund myself, but I'm here now and i don't plan on letting up.

This song is R&B Soul throughout. It gives you a sense of old school but a modern touch.
