Jeffrey L Hicks Perspective on COSMIC PULL

I'm Blackmanta1989$ and I'm from San Diego, CA!!!  I produce R&B-infused ,Trap/Soul songs with EDM elements.

I've always loved music!!  I played piano as well.  So, that is a HUGE benefit in my creative process.  

Definitely in the church!!!  haha

I kind of always knew that music or some other form of artistic endeavor would EVENTUALLY be my calling.  I'd say about 6 years ago, when one of my friends listened to something I created on a whim.  She basically told me "YOU should be doing THIS!!!" lol

This is a more pop-centric record, for sure.  The artists that I did this with wanted to try something new.

My sound still has R&B elements in it.  Ironically, the people I'm working with have made me switch up my style a little.  FOR THE BETTER.  From EDM to more poppy songs.  However, the artist and I still put our own flair and style on the songs we create.

Definitely Trap Soul vibes, mixed with EDM and R&B.

Making music is the EASY PART.  Getting people to LISTEN to it, THAT'S THE HARD PART.  

Lowkey, one of my favorite artists are Disclosure.  I especially love their album "Caracal."  To me, it blended Pop, Dance, R&B, and EDM perfectly together.  I think it's a VERY UNDERRATED album (even though it was their best-selling one).
