D.B.A Perspective on Good News
My Name is Derrion Aberdeen, Stage name D.B.A. And i am a Caribbean Gospel Artiste.
My Background is, i grew up in the church and the bible says to spread the good news. So, i tryed to portray that in this song letting people know that Jesus is coming again and we need to be ready for his coming.
My earliest memory of listening to music i believe is being a little boy in Trinidad and listening to my dad play his Al Green's Gospel album. But, i also grew up in a musical family. Everyone was playing an instrament and playing in the church.
I always wanted to become a drummer for someone famous. I never thought that i would be singing. As a matter of fact, I was told that i was not a good singer in my earlier years but some how i developed into a decent singer. I was not good in school, i had a very bad learning disability. So spelling and writing was; and still is, not my strongest subjects. But some how i loved Poems and writing songs. I would spell the words wrong but i didn't care at the time I just kept writing. At the age of 38, A Gospel arteste named Emrand Henry who is on my Good News Track pushed me to go forward with my music, and i did. Now 41 and i am still here today!
The genres that this release plays into is soca, reggae, calypso, and more...
I believe when i first started recording, i was alittle nervous and laid back on my tracks. But now, more of my personality is coming out in my tracks.
