Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

My artist name is Al Rickjames, I'm from Montego  Bay, Jamaica but i reside in Atlanta,Ga. I do Rap/Afro/Dancehall Music.

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

My background and lifestyle has a lot to do with my music because most of my music is what I live out on a daily basis. Me and sean kingston is from the same counrty so when I reach out to him and told him I have a track I want him on he was like I got to hear it first. He reach back out to me a week later and told me he'll do it. so to answer this question perfectly sean told me if it wasnt for my background knowing I'm Jamaican he wasnt gonna do the song. lol

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

I think I was around age 4 or 5, growing up in Jamaica every house had a music system so we as kids always heard music in our hears. As a kid my father use to always play music in the house so I would run around the house with my diapers on dancing as if I understand the lyrics.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

After I came home from a 10 yr prison bid. I use to write music while I was locked up, but i did'nt take it seriously until around 2018. One day I was in the studio with my artist friends so I went into the recording booth and decided to record a song, it did'nt turn out bad and I got good feedback. After that I've been recording since.

Answer:

Reggea/Dancehall/Pop

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

My mood of music is always good vibes. I put positive energy into all my arts because I believe that good brings back good. Even though I lived a not so good life coming up I dont put that in my music because im always trying to upift the people who listens to my music.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

Sean Kingston

What is your overarching goal as an artist?
Answer:

My goal as an artist is to get heard, I want to get a chance to present my music to the masses.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

My style of music is very unique and different so when you hear me you gonna have to listen close but its a vibe. Growing up in Atlanta and Jamaica i was able to mixed both cultures into my music I call it Trap Carbbean. So i mix a little bit of the Trap style music with dancehall music,most artists cant do this because its a lifetime experience thing.

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

If I could attent a performance of any artist that would be Bob Marley.

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

One of my most favorite song is Get Back There. Its my favorite because my 6 yr old Daughters loves it. its just the cadence to it. its a vibe for real.

What does your dream performance look like?
Answer:

My dream performance is in fornt of a sold out arean or stadium of the likes.

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?
Answer:

Its a lot of artist out there that I would love to do work with. I wanted to do a song with Sean Kingston so bad but now that I did now I want one with Vybes Kartel.

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?
Answer:

I want them to feel happines and be in a good mode. 

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?
Answer:

To be honest I like when people discover me, it hits different when people find.

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?
Answer:

By releaseing Hit songs only. 

What is your favorite work of art?
Answer:

My favorite art is my first Studio Album "Trap Caribbean"

Answer:

Not Normal is a song that represent me much. Because my lifestyle is not nomal for real.

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?
Answer:

Being consistant in releasing music.

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

A successful artist is one who is making enounh money off music to take care of his entire family.

How have your other passions reinforced your process of making music?
Answer:

My passion for music drives me to be the best everytime I step foot on the stage.

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

As an independent artist it is very hard to get notice some times, My song Get Back There and Anything you want got charted on itunes music chart so this was a memorable moment for me knowing that my music was recognized.

Answer:
