Who are you and what do you do?
Answer:

We are german Hardstyle Duo producing euphoric hardstyle and Hardstyle.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

When we two did meet for the first time around 1995.

 

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

For me, DjBriX the first contact with the music i loved and liked to liste to was around 1989-1990 with U96 – Das boot and LA Styles – James brown is dead.

For me, Jamie Neil it would be around 1991 when my father tried to rewrite Pink Floyd for a choir setting.

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

Not much especially in this track, but there are other Tracks which are more bound to our background.

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

Your style shifted from Progressive House to Euphoric Hardstyle.

 

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Absoloutly Euphoric Hardstyle

What themes do you explore throughout your music?
Answer:

Happiness, Love, Dreaming, euhoric, but also sadness, lost love and desire

What three words would you want your fanbase to use to describe you?
Answer:

Kind, Crazy, Spontaneous

Of course through Spotify and Twitch DJs

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

D-Block & S-Te-Fan. Because they are a big model for us

Answer:

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?
Answer:

There are alot but if we need to choose it would be:

for Jamie Neil: DjBriX & Jamie Neil - Let It Go (D-Block & S-Te-Fan vs Josh & Wesz) because it is one after our raw models D-Block & S-Te-Fan.

For DjBriX - DjBriX & Jamie Neil - Your Love keeps me high – because we did film our first music video for this track.

Which production elements did you prioritize while working on this track? Is there anything you really wanted to stick out to listeners?
Answer:

In our genre of course the Kick and the uplifting melody

 

Describe the fastest time in which you completed the writing and production process.
Answer:

About 2 – 2,5 hours

 

What is the most random sound you have included within one of your tracks? Where did you find it, and how did you implement it?
Answer:

We did find a nice sound in a japenese ad, we cut it out and used it as hookline

 

If you could choose anyone to produce one of your tracks, who would you choose and why?
Answer:

D-Block & S-Te-Fan because they are the alltime greats for us.

What production elements do you believe are necessary to making a great song?
Answer:

A great and recognizable melody, but furthermore the feelings that the track could deliver to the listener

What is your favorite instrument to work with, and why?
Answer:

Synths like, Serum, Sylenth and Nexus

What was the biggest drawback when producing this track?
Answer:

Not having the latest and best mastering plugins and tools because they are very expensive

Which production tools and plugins would you recommed to aspiring producers?
Answer:

To find the DAW you the producer finds most fitting for yourself, starting with free plugins is the way to go, maybe pay a little for some cheap Synths like Serum, Sylenth or Kickstart...

How many beats do you produce per month?
Answer:

We dont produce beats we produce tracks, often about 5-10 a month but only a few make it to later stages

Which production tools were the most helpful while producing this track?
Answer:

Of course our DAW and our Midi Controller

Which aspect of the writing, production and release process do you enjoy the most?
Answer:

Production, the hands on feeling to make the track itself

Do you prefer working alone or collaborating with others? How does this influence your sound?
Answer:

Since we are a duo we create almost every track together, sometimes one of us starts and sends it to the other to continue, so both our ideas come to flourish

 

Walk us through your music creation process, specifically for this song.
Answer:

We wanted to create a song with meaning, startet with the melody and then the text, after that basic progression and drums and in the end the effects

 

Do you have a distinct way of making music, how do you work?
Answer:

Often the melody part but it depens

Answer:

Would you prefer being an artist and releasing music in the age before social media existed? If so, why?
Answer:

One one hand the lables would concentrate more on the artists but it would be harder to get known.

Answer:

Answer:

Sadly no.

Yes and no – it still needed to be us but we listen to new tracks on different platforms

Enjoy is the wrong word, in this time you have to do it and be relevant

In this times the short concentration time and quick and fast content on these platforms, music tracks have become shorter.
