RJC's Perspective on LUV
My overarching goal as an artist & producer is to make music that I'm passionate about, continue to learn and grow in all areas of my craft, work with artists and creatives that I'm inspired by, and to be of service helping other artists reach their goals.
My name is Ricky Chianelli (RJC Productions) I'm a Music Producer, Engineer, and Sample Composer, from NY.
My background and taste for music heavily played into this song. As a producer, the main genres that I work in are Hip-Hop, Pop, and R&B but I have always loved many different genres of music including dance/house music and many others. Being a 90's baby, dance records like "Show Me Love" by Robin S, "Finally", "What Is Love", and so many more had a huge influence on my taste in music, along with Hip-Hop from the 90's and 2000's right up to the present day. This song "LUV" holds a special place in my heart because it's the first song that I ever released as a solo artist, and although I would consider it a dance/house/pop song, it is also heavily Hip-Hop influenced. The more that I develop as a musician, I find myself constantly blending different genres of music that have inspired me over the years. All while incorporating my own unique sound into everything that I create.
After working in sales (Verizon Wireless) for 8+ years, and also running my own commercial and residential window cleaning & power washing business, I decided to fully dedicate myself to music full time. Although music has always been a big part of my life, I was going through an especially hard time about 7 years ago, which ended up being a blessing in disguise. It forced me to take a hard look at my life and consider what was truly important to me. I decided to go after what I was passionate about (which was not the "easy" decision by any means at the time) and follow my passion for music. It's a decision that has changed my life more than words can describe. Like with anything worth pursuing, it hasn't always been easy but I'm so grateful for the path I chose and the lessons along the way.
I would consider LUV a dance/house/pop song, but it's also heavily Hip-Hop influenced.
