The Very Much Awaited New Fall Out Boy Song

Song reviewed by:

After gathering a lot of negative comments for their “Ghostbusters (I’m Not Afraid)” remake for the released Ghostbusters movie, everyone was very excited to hear that Fall Out Boy was going to release new music. We have been given hints from Twitter about everything purple and a lot of uses were even making their headers purple. The first single was supposedly going to be released on April 28 but their bassist Pete Wentz insisted on releasing it on the 27th also as a celebration for their vocalist, Patrick Stump’s birthday. The full album for M A N I A will be released on September 15.

Watch the music video for yourself first:

A lot of people were really happy about the song referencing Britney Spears’ famous “Oops! I did it again.” A day after the release Pete Wentz spilled the meaning of this song. He said that growing up he felt like he didn’t fit in his own neighborhood and to everyone around him. Although, after discovering punk rock he began to grow in a community of people who feel like they don’t fit in either. He said he was thinking of the kids in our generation and hoping that the world is kind to them in finding themselves.

The song has been getting mixed reactions since. A lot of fans are disappointed that Fall Out Boy is turning to the trendy EDM that music nowadays is being consumed by. Like how they did that collaboration with Steve Aoki that was way electronic. While numerous fans were also just really happy to hear from their favorite artist again.

I think the song is alright even though it isn’t the traditional head banging punk rock Fall Out Boy we know. The trends change and even your favorite bands have to get along with those changes. I think this mix of electronic music and punk rock isn’t so bad as people describe it to be.
