Still Kicking...

Green Day are continuing on their status quo of releasing videos, this one for their latest single 'Still Breathing' is a lyric music video. Wrapped up in a cartoonish haze of skeletons, lungs, a green hand (maybe in ode to American Idiot with the green grenade?) and many more abstract objects in various colors. Along with a static cover kind of laid on top of the entire video. 'Still Breathing' has gained some slack because of the fact Green Day are still discussing what pisses them off or what the band has gone through in their lifetime. Why this is an issue is beyond me because nearly if not all musicians/bands have done the same time and time again on various albums. However, the lyric video does emit some confussion which doesn't have to be a bad indication. 'Still breathing' holds down a variable of actions and thoughts many of us feel.

Still kicking and battling years of happenstance, Green Day are one of the only bands today that have not broken up or changed members do to conflict within the family. Even if time has started to kick ass and well aging is inevitable this band does not fear or resolve to simply not existing. Maybe Green Day will head down The Rolling Stones route or hopefully pull up the stops and adjust towards the present issues that are being dealt with for now...everyday. 'Still Breathing' speaks about every corner and hidden dark section of ourselves and asks to take a deeper look at the fact that you are alive and still breathing.
