Working that fun loving spirit

A few years ago I went to a P!nk concert and was introduced to Walk The Moon, who were supporting her. At that time, I had never heard of them, but they had some good songs and I started following them on social media.

I thought they would develop themselves into a regular pop rock band, but there’s something way more interesting about Walk The Moon. They don’t have a problem to mock themselves, they have a sense of humor and they bring an element of Fun into their music. With that I refer to the band, Fun, as well as the word fun. They seem to be good sports for some reason, and I like people like that.

“Shut Up And Dance” was such a huge hit, that it feels like it took forever for this band to release a follow up. But Walk The Moon has made a logical choice to release a bit of a sound alike: “Work This Body”. It’s another fun track, with a video that is even more fun to watch. Their years of traveling the world has rubbed off on the band’s lyrics, as there’s suddenly a little French that got snuck into the song.

The band members are colorful 80s game characters, which has made them, pretty much, unrecognizable.

The days in which they were a supporting act are long over now. In the spring and summer Walk The Moon will hit the road for another tour of their own, also called “Work This Body”. The band are already touring and the new tour starts immediately after, so you can catch them at any time. Officially the “Work This Body”-tour runs from May to August, and includes many festival dates like Lollapalooza.

If you want to see them anywhere, you can find promo codes for their presales here. You can thank me later ;-). I can strongly recommend seeing them live, if you just want to have a fun night out.
