Yeah, we all know who Bruno Mars is, but not this Bruno Mars that's on the "24K Magic" Album record. If you are looking for a perfect blend of R&B, Funk, Soul and Disco genre you should definitely check it out. The album has a modern 90s R&B sound that not every one can get. I fell in love with the album right after the very first listen.
"24K Magic" was released in November 2016 by one of the best in the business and that is "Atlantic Records". The album is a masterpiece including 9 songs. Each of the songs has a different story for itself, but also the album works phenomenally as a whole as well.
The journey starts with the "24K Music" song where you can feel the energy that is about to explode! This song has a strong and smooth beat going on all along with the backing vocals, the effects and the marvelous arrengement. Simply amazing! The album continues with "Chunky" where you will find a lovely bass line and wonderful backing vocals. Later on, in the album there comes "That's what I like", I can put this song on repeat for days! That is what I really like! The album has also a romantic side and ballad songs such as "Calling all my Lovelies", "Too good to say Goodbye." So whatever your mood is, Bruno Mars has a solution for you.
What I appreciate in this album is the knowledge of the producers and all the people that were included through the whole process, so I must mention Shampoo Press & Curl as a producer, Philip Lawrence, Christopher Brody Brown and Bruno Mars as writers. "Atlantic Records" knows how to pop out the very best of Bruno Mars's talent and his spectacular vocal abilities. His singing is outstanding.
Every song has a very precise and clear rhythm, with a lot of groove going on in between. I also like the comical moments in the lyrics of the album, especially in "Perm" which is more like a dialog between Bruno Mars and his back vocals.
