Either you know Hailee Steinfeld as an actress or a Pop singer. Both ways you've heard of Hailee Steinfeld and in this case with Steinfeld's song 'Starving' is infectious. Combine a simplistic beat, a few strings and featuring Zedd to throw in a few mixed up sounds. However, 'Starving' is one of the few songs that would sound splendid as an acapella or acoustic track. One of those versitile tracks capable of transitioning.
'Starving' shows off Steinfeld's vocal chops and grows evermore luscious as the song hits it's end. Although Zedd is a nice touch to the production, maybe slowed down and given a bit more freedom via the vocal range structure, would even further benefit Steinfeld as a Pop singer-songwriter. Lyrically the track is a classic ode to finding an individual who was meant to be a part of your life but you did not know until the event opened your eyes. Maybe being blindsided by love and given the gift of true romance is all apart of Steinfeld's charm. However, I sense that Haliee has even more to offer as a musician, just wish (even as fun Steinfeld's songs are to dance and sing along) showed a further depth and showcased more of Steinfeld's vocal ability.
