Swedish indie pop trio comes back with their third release that is both exuberant and ebollient, but incosistent when it comes to genre. Do you remember Mike Snow? I remember discovering them back then and thinking that they are my favorite electro band. Truth to be told, they have never been pure electro. Pop contamination is prominent, but it’s tollerable.

The album iii is opened by a solid funky track titled My Trigger that resembles MGMT in their most mainstream appereance. The Heart of Me is miring into the pop waters, which is not a bad thing per se. It is a nicely arranged song that must be played all over the clubs.

Irritating shopping-mall music comes with For You, a duet with Charli XCX. Good chorus overshadows awful intro with the samples that would make Senna M ashamed. Unfortunately, lupus in fabula his appereance later on the record.

I Feel The Weight is atmospheric electro pop number bringing a more chill, slow-tempo vibe. It stands out from the rest of the album by its higher quality. On the other hand, the next track Back of The Car is a proto example of the pop twaddle that are getting produced on conveyer today.

Lonely Life radiates softness in its chorus and it sound like it came from Chris Martin’s brain. If there were more tracks like this, this could have been one of the best pop releases of the year. Now we are dealing with a mediocre record where third of the songs can serve as an apetizer on a boat party. Such a shame. I like Mike Snow.
