As far as I know it's not been a particular special anniversary year of Michael Jackson's death, but nevertheless, the singer has been the talk of the town once more in the past few weeks. It all started with newspapers breathing new life into the "findings of child porn" at the Neverland ranch, during police investigations years, many years before. Levelheaded fans, as well as Jackson's family, were quick to remind everyone that these pictures were, in fact, never found. According to reports, pictures were indeed found of pornographic nature, but with adults in it and, in most cases, they were found as part of art books. Easing the rumor mill is hard though, especially surrounding such a mysterious and estranged man. So a few days later, we all got reminded of it again when a rerun of Martin Bashir’s documentary hit the TV screens. In the first half of the documentary Michael still makes some sense. It's that part of the documentary that always gives me the feeling that if he had normal, down to earth neighbors that could've introduced him to a little taste of normal life by inviting him over every once in a while, he may have found some peace in life. In the second half of the documentary, the vibe changes as the presenter becomes dead set to talk about sensitive subjects and Michael responds in the strangest way ever, even to the point of telling lies. There's no denying his weird side at that point. And now, there's even more drama coming. For some strange reason, Dr. Conrad Murray (yep, the guy who played such a part in Michael's death) found it necessary to write a "tell all"-book about Michael himself. And to make matters worse, it is called "This Is It". I wonder what exactly “It” is; a tell all or another stab in the back. According to press coverage of the book, so far, it reveals who Michael was fancying around the time of his death, it hints that Michael preferred young girls, and that he tried everything to stall puberty and keep his iconic high voice. Well, in the case of the latter, wouldn’t you if that voice brought you wealth? Unfortunately, it's not the only book coming out this year. A woman claiming to be Michael' ex-girlfriend has also put her story to paper. So, if you want to add more craziness to the mayhem, you can via all of Michael's inner circle. Or, forget about it all and stream his music instead. So much better to spend your time on.
