Beyonce is like Rihanna's big sister. I always saw her like that. I don't really like Rihanna's or Beyonce's music, with exceptions of course. Sexy Beyonce always seemed like a lady, a sexy lady, with a lot of elegance and a luxury lifestyle. While Rihanna was dating boys and not men, clubbing all the time, being out and about and in the scene. I obviously like Beyonce better, but just because I have to choose betwen two evils.
But I have to say I like Naughty Boy - Runnin' (Lose It All) ft. Beyoncé, Arrow Benjamin . A bit of electro pop and Beyonce's recognizable style. Naughty Boy showed his talent as well, but I think Beyonce wasn't really necessary in that song. I'd say the song would be just as beautiful without her.
Beyonce was good here for other things. Like popularity and finance. It probably meant a lot for Naughty Boy's career. But even knowing that, I am not bothered and it's ok for him to use Beyonce as his alibi. People have to hear of him somehow. And he's going for that. The amount of listeners. It's all music business and every single celebrity was there in the beginnings of their career, they had someone who would pull them up, but then everything else is up to them. If they're going to keep it and appreciate it or just loose it.
Naughty Boy frequently works with Emeli Sande, but has collaborated with Cheryl Cole, Tinie Tempah, Lilly Allen, Rihanna, Leona Lewis etc. He produced two top ten records for UK Rappers Chipmunk and Wiley, both featuring Emeli Sande.
Running is so much more an Emeli Sande song, than Beyonce's. It's completely different from anything Beyonce sang before, but she sang it her own way. Sounds good, anyway. I wouldn't say it's the best song ever, but it's listenable.
I did not mention the video, which is amazing! Running underwater, woman and man dance synchronized and enjoy the depth of the sea. It is very soothing and hypnotizing. And just the colour of the sea and their moves that are so floaty and not sharp. Beautiful video! The whole thing is definitely something you need to watch and hear and then decide weather you like it or not!
