The black suede boots from which he was drummer for The Beatles, Ringo Starr, will be auctioned on August 26 at the annual auction organized by the group's store in Liverpool, with an estimated price of 5,000 pounds (5,492 euros). Among the 300 articles related to the band that will be offered to the public, there are also another pair of boots that the singer wore onstage in 1963. The owner of the Beatles store, Ian Wallace, pointed out that the typical suede boots Starr blacks would hover between 4,000 pounds and 5,000 pounds, and said that "although they are worn, they are in good condition." Wallace noted that Starr's boots were different from the rest of the band because they were "more comfortable" to play the drums and that they were characterized by being pointy. So far, this shoe was in the hands of a friend of the musician's family, after in the 60's, Starr's mother and stepfather were given as a gift.

The other Cuban-heeled boots and Japanese kimono, which also enter the auction, are expected to be sold between 2,500 (2,745 euros) and 3,000 pounds (3,294 euros). The front door of the house where Beatles guitarist George Harrison was born and a club membership card where he played the band for the first time in The Cavern are also in the batch of articles. "It's unbelievable that this kind of thing keeps popping up," Wallace said, adding that it was "the first time that Beatles boots are being auctioned." This is the sixth time that the band's souvenir auction is held, which has always attracted crowds of fans from different nationalities to bid to get something. The store owner said the auction was like "Nations United, all nationalities are there. " The sale will take place in the hall of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liverpool on August 26, although a day before will open to the public an exhibition with the selection of articles.
