Ronnie Wood feared the worst after the Rolling Stones guitarist was diagnosed with lung cancer earlier this year. The 70-year-old musician thought that perhaps it was time to "say goodbye," after a doctor who did a routine checkup told him that "I had a supernova burning my left lung." Wood asked the doctor to remove it, the British newspaper The Mail reported Sunday. The guitarist added that he decided not to undergo chemo if the results were bad, since he did not want to lose his hair: "This mane is not going anywhere," he said. Wood thanked doctors in May for attending a minor injury to his lung and said he would undergo reviews every three months.
