Linkin Park's widow Chester Bennington says she feels the love of the rocker's fans, but also her pain, AP reported.

Talinda Bennington said in a statement Thursday night that she meant her "community and the fans of the world that we feel her love, we also feel the loss."

Chester Bennington hanged himself last week from the door of a room in his house, near Los Angeles. His death was declared a suicide.

"A week ago I lost my soul mate and my children lost their hero, their daddy. We had a fairy tale story, and now this has become a sickly Shakespearean tragedy. I can pick up the pieces of my shattered soul? "Wrote Talinda Bennington. "The only response I have is to raise our babies with every ounce of love I have left," he added. Chester Bennington was the father of six children.

Linkin Park rose to fame since the release of their debut album, Hybrid Theory of 2000, which sold more than 10 million copies and was characterized by the heartbreaking and powerful voice of Bennington. The band became one of the most popular and won multiple awards, including the Grammy.

After Bennington's death, Linkin Park canceled a tour that would have started this week.

Talinda Bennington said her fans, family and friends will keep Chester's memory alive.

"He was a bright and loving soul with the voice of an angel. And now he is free of pain, singing his songs in the hearts of all of us," he added. "May God bless us and help us support each other when we suffer pain.Christian would have liked us to do this.Round in peace, my love."
