Draco Rosa has been recognized with great joy as Doctor Honoris Causa of the San Juan University of the Sacred Heart (USC) of his native country.
The Puerto Rican was very happy for this distinction, considered by him as one of the most important of his career.
"This doctorate is one of the greatest honors I've ever received." He also referred to his state of health and what it was like to receive the cancer diagnosis in 2010. "It was then a pendulum between the darkness that was lurking," said the artist while a group of young musicians interpreted "Promised Paradise", one of His best known subjects. "The statistics led me to meet the 'white woman' that I feared so much ... And believe me, it's one thing to write about her and another is to feel her," concluded the musician.
Recall that Draco owns a prolific career as a composer, musician and singer. Some of the songs of his best known authors are: "Maria", "Livin 'La Vida Loca" and "La Copa De La Vida".
