VINILOVERSUS paused, moved to Miami, Florida, went into the studio, recruited a new member and today presents his fourth album Days Of Exile (2017), produced by Carlos Imperatori and Rudy Pagliuca , the duo with which they ordered all the Ideas that have been brewing for three years. They invited Alex Garcia , Luis Jimenez , Didi Gutman and Simón Peñuela to collaborate on some tracks.

Rodrigo Gonsalves (guitar and vocals), Adrián Salas (bass), Juan Belisario (bass) Orlando Martínez (drums), now with the entry of Alberto Dahau (guitar), are shown as a renewed quintet. During the last twelve months they were making progress, making it clear that they would now sing in English. So it was like " Only hungry for you ", " Broken cities ", " Disintegrate me " and " So many stars " jumped into view.

They still retain their characteristic indie-rock , so they know in " Only hungry for you " and along with " So Long School Boy ", the one that opens the disc, age the sound of the band, in addition to exteriorizing aggressiveness and power in " Show me the money ", a solid subject almost as captured live.

The exploration of the new romantic and the use of the synthesizer, evidently bordering the new wave , is perceived in " In My Head ", " Broken Cities ", inspiring " The Future In Your Eyes " and " Desintegrate Me " On the plate. There is a spatial intention in the " Wormhole " and " Arrival " interludes that are administered on the board.

The other side of the album comes with the blues and country in themes like " Boss Don't Fire Me " or "Hey Mama (The Bill Murray Song)", which also tell stories of regret, another facet in which VINILOVERSUS resorts in Days Of Exile .

There is a return to compositional innocence, a starting point for a band that took the risk route by singing in English, paying homage to all the Anglo-Saxon culture that has formed them: Jack White , Robert Johnson , The Cure , Depeche Mode , Queens of the Stone Age , among others.

The dozens of songs retake the naivety with which the band was started and adds the security that is obtained with the experience. The lyrical context is defined by direct phrases that usually form and give greater weight to the choir. He sings to love, they implore him, also to the country. They thrive on spirituality and the pursuit of being as they unfold these stories.

Days of Exile evokes a feeling of remoteness from VINILOVERSUS according to his Venezuelan background, yet take control of his career, stand out with this fourth production and demonstrate that the five years unedited disc, served as therapy and oxygen to get to this point That more than a continuation is a beginning with the wisdom of the age.
