René Pérez Joglar, popularly known as Residente, shocked everyone with his departure from the hit group Calle 13. Having won 22 Grammys and 3 Latin Grammy with his band, resident left his group to start from scratch with a new musical project. And he warned the four winds: "Keep your eyes, ears and open to what is coming mind," he said.
Resident spent nearly two years traveling the world, collecting sounds from different places, with the intention of generating new and attractive materials. Even he spent a week in Siberia to feel, know and write the song that he composed much in the mountains of the region, surrounded by nomads and hunters.
In addition to his new role as soloist, René is also dabbling in the direction of videos. For several days, the former Calle 13 has been publishing in their social networks, pictures of the recording process of their new single "We are Anormales" being filmed in Madrid.
The video, first Resident director, will involve international artists such as John Leguizamo, Leonor Watling, Oscar Jaenada and Juan Diego Botto.
