For the large community of music lovers, Pink Floyd is the best band of all time. His musical and artistic concept was completely revolutionary, breaking all paradigms of the music industry. His compositions will endure in history and serve for pleasure and the formation of new generations. Every year there are news about a possible reunion, but so far has not materialized anything because Roger Waters has kept his promise to have nothing to do with the band since 1985.
Rumors of a possible meeting are varied, but what is certain is that the British band announced the release of "The Early Years 1965-1972", a gigantic box set of 27 albums that will be released on November 11.
Most of the material is unpublished, and has more than 11 hours of audio and 17 hours of audiovisual material. It was learned that of all the songs that you understand all discs, 20 are previously unreleased, plus 7 hours of live audio ever heard. However, the magnitude of the special edition, you can also find remixes, outtakes, BBC sessions and alternate versions of other issues. Also it contains seven books, six of which will be sold separately in 2017.
The album aims to explore the beginnings of the band and will go under the label Sony Legacy Records. Among the highlights unreleased songs "Vegetable Man" written in 1967 by founding member Syd Barrett, who had left the group shortly after due to mental illness. The song was never marketed, but could be found on the black market. According to the agent of Pink Floyd, Peter Jenner, bassist Roger Waters did not want to throw this song, because considered too bleak and incomplete.
Still not all the material that will contain this wonderful edition is known, but what is certain is that it will become a part of worship and rarities, due to the amount of new material to be released publicly after more than 40 years.
