If there is any album that would rightfully go by the title “best” in the history of rock music and beyond, it is “The Dark Side of the Moon” by Pink Floyd. Released in 1973 the album was a turning point in the band’s history, kicking them off to the league of superstars. It set new standards in audio recording and design, opened up some new realms of soundscaping, incorporating lyrics into melodies and use of modern technology in the process of making music. It is not strange at all that it hit the top of the charts and stayed there for years, making it one of the best-selling albums in the history of the music industry. I bought the record when I was 13, and it blew my mind. Actually, it still does whenever I put it on. A true masterpiece!
P.S.
The lyrics are epic, and Roger Waters is a prophet.

The video you’re watching in the back of the text was made by some enthusiast, who shares mine and millions others’ opinion for the album. It was made in a period of 1,5 years, and the guy really put an effort to it. If you have the time, sit back, turn off the lights and enjoy this new experience of “The Dark Side of the Moon.”
