Björk is an artist who likes to break paradigms with their music and thus made official the launch of the first disc of virtual reality world. The presentation will combine a high-resolution 3D, a local holoestudio, motion capture and video technology with a design of real-time audio that will engulf and include the public within interpretation will be provided by the Icelandic artist herself.
The project will be carried out by the technology company HTC and videos will be led by directors Andrew Huang, Jesse Kanda, Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones. The songs are presented his latest album "Vulnicura" which came out in 2015.
The inauguration of the project was held in Australia in the Vivid Festival, the first of its kind and is part of the Digital Björk exhibition will take place in several countries over the next 18 months.
The public can listen to the songs "Stonemilker" plus "Black Lake" (made by Andrew Thomas Huang), "Mouth Mantra" (by Jesse Kanda), "notget" (by Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones), in collaboration British company with Rewind-VR digital production.
Rikard Steiber HTC talked about Björk and said it "is a pioneer in using virtual reality technology in music and the visual concept designed by the singer is fantastic." Ensuring that experience and musical connection of these presentations can only be enjoyed with the use of technology.
In his previous album "Biophilia", Björk made a mix between music and technology, leaving the disc with an application for Android and iOS which was intended to educate children in science, nature and music.
