Just a couple of days ago HBO aired the last episode of the 1st season 'Vinyl' , the ambitious dramatic and musical series that premiered earlier this year amid an understandable media frenzy if we consider who are the basis of this project and how orchestrated.

The idea was already hovering in the minds of Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese from 90 and sometimes tried to take the project forward, but it was not until a few years ago and with the addition of Terence Winter ( "The Sopranos" and "Boardwalk Empire ') in the creative circle that could materialize the project.

The series portrays the record music scene of the 70s, specifically in the city of New York moved. Richie Finestra, played by Bobby Cannavale, is the president of a popular record label come down and instead sell your business when you can do, prefer to bet all in search of the new music sensation. The decline of rock and hippie philosophy of the 60s, the boom of the disc, the first signs of which would be hip hop, popularizing cocaine, sex before AIDS and generally lived, all wrapped in a highly influential pop culture artistic wave.

Hundreds of musical references and to inclusion in the history of legends like Lou Reed, David Bowie, Elvis Presley, John Lennon and adorn the concept of the series during its first 10 episodes in which also participate Olivia Wilde as the wife of Finestra and a kind of Edie Sedgwick , Juno Temple, Ray Romano, Andrew Dice Clay and the same son of Mick Jagger, James, playing the lead singer of the fictional band the Nasty Bits.

With each episode of the series, also they premiered a mini EP with songs: From covers, through classics to new original songs. Gift and as an inducement to see her , I leave that I liked. Enjoy.
