Tributes to the great David Bowie never cease. This time, the tribute came from the scene of the BRIT Awards 2016, an event commemorated the life and musical work by British artist, who died of cancer last January 10 in the United States.
The renowned actor Gary Oldman took the stage mics to reveal the last words and thoughts that reminded Bowie would have shared with him:
"In recent years, David spoke poorly of music and its process, but one of those rare occasions, he graciously and elegantly said:" Music has given me over 40 extraordinary years of experience, I can not say that the tragic episodes or painful have been diminished by that but it allowed me company many moments when I've been alone and more sublime was when I tried to reach out to people. '
During his career, David challenged and changed our understanding of the medium, whether in music or life; he emphasized originality, experimentation, exploration in a unique way, also reminded us that we should not take it so seriously (...) David faced his illness with dignity, grace and his characteristic humor, even in dire circumstances. When he wrote to tell me he had cancer, he said , 'The good news is that recover the bones of my cheeks.' TUVO much joy and laughter in your life and I will miss , "confessed the actor.
Oldman's emotional speech ended with a musical tribute from the New Zealand singer Lorde, accompanied by the band of the late artist.
