The Beatles were masters in making short but catchy songs, now her former member Paul McCartney writes letters to accompany briefer smilies. McCartney said Wednesday that writes a series of sounds to accompany the emoticons in Skype video calling service, mainly for messages by Valentine. "At first I thought, uhm, a strange proposal to mine And then I thought, you know what, why not something fun, something nice and new," he said in a video on its website.
In the recording, McCartney appears in his studio creating very short tunes for 20 smilies, ranging from hard hooks to more ethereal guitar progressions xylophone. McCartney considered that the project is a challenge "because suddenly you have to compress into a musical interpretation of an emotion in less than five seconds." The sounds will be more challenging to express flirting and when someone blushes.
"It was like a huge puzzle and make up with these solutions. At the same time was musical, so it was a great practice for me in the studio," the rocker 73 years. Interested in musical experimentation, McCartney recently mixed musical genres in a song with rapper Kanye West and R & B star Rihanna. The early Beatles hits as "She Loves You", "Love Me Do" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand" lasted just over two minutes each, however they became memorable melodies.
