Deftones: new album already has a date

The anticipated new album American group Deftones has a date. This was confirmed by guitarist Stephen Carpenter, in an interview for the magazine ESP Guitars, where he said that the album would be released on April 8 this year.

"We are waiting for the release of our new album. Exit 8 April and we have some dates in Texas in March," Carpenter said in that interview.

Similarly, the release date of the album casts doubt on their fans. This is because in April 2015, the lead singer, Chino Moreno, said that the album would see the light in September of that year, which obviously did not happen.

Beyond the date of the album, Chino Moreno said in an interview with BBC Radio, this this production will offer a new version and further deployment of the band, so it can not be compared with any album of the group, but "definitely a Deftones record".

Deftones was formed in 1998 and their last album Koi No Yokan (the eighth of his career) was published in 2012, a year before the death of their original bassist Chi Cheng, so it is expected that this new album has one (or several) songs dedicated to said Cheng.
