2.2 million closed auction by a battery of legendary Beatles Ringo Starr, it is a Ludwig Oyster Black Pearl three-piece 1963, which would be used in the recordings of some of the first hits of the English band.
The musical instrument would have been acquired by the owner of the Indianapolis Colts, Jim Irsay, as reported by the house Julien's Auctions at auction in Beverly Hills, California.
Starr would have used this battery in more than 200 performances during May 1963 and February 1964, in addition to having recorded her songs like "Can't buy me love", "She Loves You", "All My Loving" and "I want to hold your hand ".
Part of the proceeds from the auction will go to the Children's Foundation Lotus Ringo and his wife Barbara Bach.
