One of the most important albums of Latin American rock of all time, El Dorado, the Colombian group Aterciopelados, is serving 20 years and to celebrate together a lot of artists to make a deluxe reissue due out next December 5.
Two decades later, Los Aterciopelados launches anniversary edition will feature the participation of Julieta Venegas, Jorge Drexler, Carlos Vives, Enrique Bunbury, Kevin Johansen, Paulinho Moska, Christina Rosenvinge, Marta Gomez, Alejandro and Maria Laura, Edson Velandia, Gepe, Ulises Hadjis, Victoria South, Camila Moreno, Esteman, Las Áñez, Maria Pien and Maria Monica Gutierrez, who made their own versions of the songs.
"The collective Barrio Colombia is preparing this album, whose songs will be more focused in El Dorado, and groups are gathering Latin American singers to participate. They are our friends, so we're very happy , "said the singer Andrea Echeverri.
The collective Barrio Colombia is an organization formed in 2007 and specialized in the creation, design and cultural activities in Colombia and Latin America.
El Dorado 20 years is published in two formats: a double vinyl golden color with 16 songs and 36 pages of text, photographs and illustrations commemorative; and a CD in deluxe presentation with 16 songs and 72 pages of text, photographs and commemorative artwork. In addition, the group will thrill fans with a DVD recorded live in May 2016 in Bogotá, with songs of El Dorado and other issues of his own. The material will be released by Sony Music Colombia.
The album will be accompanied by a book that includes essays and opinions of 16 international journalists who highlight the influence and impact of Latin American music album.
Andrea Echeverri and Hector Buitrago are the creators of an album that marked a milestone in the Colombian and Latin American rock. His songs tell the contemporary history of a country of stark, direct and loving way, going through different musical rhythms that reflect the influences of rock and traditional music.
