Amy Stroup Certainly Has That Magic

Amy Stroup was an artist that I came across from the Nashville scene. Well, Stroup is currently located in Nashville, but do not write her off solely because of her location. Stroup's single 'Magic' beats along to a fantastic funky rhythm. Collecting a batch of soul, indie, and a hint of lounge act possibilities. Somehow this combination of beats merges together to form this brilliant, yet odd track. A hypnotic power seems to spread as Magic plays out loud. Stroup easily placed a bet with someone because, after the second play, Magic freely operates as a groove number.

I was not even sure how to classify this track. Or what to generally write about as Magic plays on rotate. Particular tracks can not be pigeon-holed, or even remotely genre identified. Stroup's slight indie cred seemed to be the best choice. However, I want to state that Stroup is in a collective genre developed solely on her own.

Magic could be played in clubs to house parties. Or play with headphones on from some person walking down the street, or sitting in a cafe. One even may develop a bounce in their step once the beat takes off. One solid word to embody Magic would be infectious.

With more female singer-songwriters introducing more music, Amy Stroup has ended up at the forefront of that musically inclined reality. Women have tried over and over to make a place in the music industry. If you didn't already know that the music industry was a prominently male platform, well know you do. Stroup adds a strength and justification along with her newest EP. Stroup is a powerful force behind Magic and continues to blaze forward. Nothing can stop a fire once it's been set. Amy Stroup may have found the perfect metaphor with Magic.
