Brian Howe marks this particular tune as “soulful and joyous” in his overall review of the album. One can say that it is that particular quality that lends a certain distinct melancholy. The song helps to capture love in its simplest form, through acts that may or may not be tinged with lust. This “somebody who” is a cornerstone in the lyrics, in that it shines a light onto the unknown qualities of the person that should come, has to come, must come.
But as they say, all’s fair in love and war, no?
