The Gossip Girl With Grace Vanderwaal

Never ever doubt the age of a musician, in the case of 12 year old Grace Vanderwaal this could not be any more true. Vanderwaal's name became a token of surprise once we saw the singer-songwriter on 'America's Got Talent'. Demonstrating the extraordinary talent encased the 12 year old who surely is harboring an old soul waiting to bust out at any moment. With Vanderwaal's mini EP release 'Perfectly Imperfect'. And in the small yet overly powerful EP is a great song titled 'Gossip Girl' which deserves a hell of a lot of mention. Also the fact remains that 'Gossip Girl' is indeed the only song in existence which has quietly bred in the minds of each and every mind of a young girl.

'Gossip Girl' lays out a beautiful background of whispers, echoes and several layers of Vanderwaal repeating sentences. This track has leaned incredibly towards an Indie route rather than a Pop playground sing-along track. 'Gossip Girl' gives a therapeutic reception, also Vanderwaal herself has stated that making music is a form of therapy. What seems to be disturbing even more is the fact a 12 year old holds such heavy emotion. Whether Vanderwaal has encountered the world of "girl" where rumors float along as if endless smoke from passerby's cigarettes. Always there, swirling and slowly becoming caught within the web of someone waiting to throw the "gossip" straight at you.

'Gossip Girl' reveals a betrayal of uncertain best friends. Bringing out the facts of reality where no one remains truthful.

Grace Vanderwaal was sadly hidden from my listening collection. Not only has 'Perfectly Imperfect' earned a spot on the rotation playlist but Vanderwaal has immediately earned a generous respect. Again from one girl to another, we've been there however, 'Gossip Girl' may be the exact DNA each girl has been looking to release the screams of troubled adolescence.
