The Pinkerton Raid has become one of my favorite new bands of this year. With their new single "Ghost in My Bed" which left quite an impression on the ears, the group recalls artists such as The National, Fleet Foxes and Sufjan Stevens to name a few. With haunting and gorgeous lyricism, the group move forward with equally as stunning melodies that will entice you time after time. The male-female vocal harmonies fit perfectly with the song, as the horns fill every inch of the melodic space the group has to offer.
Singer Jesse DeConto says of the track:
"‘Ghost in My Bed’ came to me while fighting through the loneliness of my first marriage ending, and I found a deeper, divine kind of love inside myself, sparked by the wisdom of an old Jewish Psalm and the writings of a medieval mystic named Teresa of Avila."
The Pinkerton Raid is set to release their new record, Tolerence Ends, Love Begins, in February 2017, and it is expected to be just as delightful as "Ghost in My Bed." If this is any indication of what the new record has to offer, then count me in! Listen to "Ghost in My Bed" here:
