Lucy Rose increases the need to listen to acoustic indie music. Not for a designated reason because simply put...one reason can not be picked out from the batch. Instead Lucy Rose happened to write the song 'Middle of the Bed' were the songwriter depicts emotions as soulful as ancient love. Whether William Shakespeare plays are lying around your room or traditionally emotions tend to gather the best of you...Lucy Rose would be the musician to pull from the stack of vinyl's lying adjacent around the room. 'Middle of the Bed' came out in 2011 attached to Rose's debut album Like I Used To which came out in 2012. The better part of Rose's influences range from Bjork to Joni Mitchell, at least those are the two artists who are directed towards Rose's main influences. Anyone will agree to the Joni Mitchell comparison because of Rose's slight vocal identity as well as descriptive lyrical content. So where does this songstress come from? Warwickshire, England. Obviously because some of the best acoustic songwriters come from England. Crafting a sound incredibly all their own and offering the rest of the listening world a slight view of the depth involved within the musician's psyche. Because let's face it, Lucy Rose is allowing us to listen to the music created not the other way around. Rose captivates an audience within seconds. Once 'Middle of the Bed' drifts onward after about the fifth rotation, musically our brain starts to search for the deeper meaning within the song. In doing this, our minds drive around and eventually unlock a part of a song over and over again. Until the lyrics blur together, a pure raw moment is noticed and the tone of Lucy Rose's voice creeps up.'Middle of the Bed' discusses about the words that will not heal, indeed sometimes words cannot heal nor do they subject to the prevention of an further relief.
