For a first thought, I'm not sure "indie" is the correct term for Molly Moore...yet it seems to be the only genre that could collectively fit every inch of creative appeal from Moore's song 'Now You See Me'. If 'Now You See Me' where to be a code in need to be broken, one may call the track a sheer force. Nothing more. A subtle hurricane of emotion standing torpedo off the coast of some fiery island.
Now after gifting the music world with that sort of imagery, back to the basics. Molly Moore operates out of the great Los Angeles area (originally a New York native)...which 'Now You See Me' may unexpectedly originate. As an echo tinged haunt balances out the odd The Weeknd primal influence, with a gritty underbelly of a city in turmoil.
The layers of vocals offers an interesting capability. Moore sounds more or so unreal or oddly tribal in tone. Rattling now you see me, now you don't along with a drum pattern reminiscent of chanting rituals. Moore operates under an electronic subgenre...however, Moore may be on the tail end of something blossoming into a new. 'Now You See Me' fits entirely within a structure of iconic appeal. A track to be unearthed some years from now as simply underground...hopefully Moore does not suffer from the fate of classically spectacular songs merely just to be swept under the rug until years later. It happens for one reason or another.
After collaborating for artists such as Dyro, Dubvision and Felix Cartal. Molly Moore will not be leaving the scene any time soon and with the release of her EP Now You See Me which will be her second EP. Moore has been credited as saying that the majority of the music written comes from a stream of consciousness. Lo and behold a soon to be album release from this perfect stranger we would not mind inviting into our home to conduct one of the most magically and enthralling EP's of the year.
