The Dears are one of the leading indie bands coming from Canada. The Montreal-based group is fronted by the husband-and-wife duo of singer-guitarist Murray Lightburn and keyboardist Natalia Yanchak. They started working in 1995 and released their first album, End of a Hollywood Bedtime Story, in 2000. In 2003 The Dears released their second full-length album No Cities Left, and a string of highly anticipated shows at SXSW '04 launched their international career. The song “Never Destroy Us” is featured on this album with Canadian indie-rocker Sam Roberts joining the band with his violin. The track is a perfect example of their orchestral, dark-pop sound and style. Enjoy!
