Emotions Unsteady

Seafret accompany a character of emotions with their single 'Oceans'. Dipped in emotional depth and creative peril, Seafret do not back away from the unanswered questions. 'Oceans' opens up into a beautifully lead melody, almost whimsical and scary. Within the track, a true reliant expectation wants to take hold, maybe between family, friends or a lover. But this reliant expectation forms a bond over the vocals, casting a desparate plea.

A few bands/musicians who come to mind are Foals, Kaleo and Damien Rice that contribute to an emotion bounded like a funnel... all in courtesy of excellent song-writing. Even the music video for 'Oceans' plays on an isolated composition between family and a community. Where the music video follows a young teenage girl throughout a day after bullying and coming across a bunch of teenagers in a park. Ultimately to use her own superman like powers on them after being beaten up. However, as the music video plays on, after arriving home where her mother has finally come into the picture, seems to understand what her daughter has been struggling with. That after all we've gone through as individuals, still need a support system to carry us home.

Seafret bring into light an all too real concept happening today or an event that was taking place years ago. It is known that a distance forms once the waters of life become muddled and testy, however it should not derail us from one another.
