The first time I heard "Rivers and Roads" was when a friend performed it as his senior farewell. It is truly incredible. Besides the heart-wrenching lyrics and soulful melody, there are beautiful layers of harmony that give you no choice but to feel the song. This isn't a song you just listen to, you experience it. I felt connected to it the second I heard it. It pulled on all the right heartstrings, while simultaneously forcing me to concentrate on the intricate musicality.
If you need some more acoustic-indie music, this is the song to go to. I know that it will soon be added to my repertoire and will be a song I keep coming back to through my life.
