Arms Akimbo uses wit and a basic instrumental approach with their song 'Michigan'. At first, as the track plays on the Pop/Indie sensation is vital and intrusive. However, the intrusive part is a welcomed new abundance of "want" from the Pop/Indie community of musicians. Further into the track, a proper Pop Punk reels in the lyrics with a few screams and words yelled about.
Arms Akimbo are still considered an underground band and with the talent that exists within this band, that should be a thing of the past. Yet, some bands have the prime quality of keeping the "real" attraction and never once leave the udnerground. The track 'Michigan' fully embellishes the desire to know, want and what happens when we are not kids anymore.
Here is a song capable of combining a sullen slow pace into a full throttle explosion without even ending the track abruptly. 'Michigan' does end a bitter sweet note with a single acapella moment with a single word and it is still ringing true in these ears.
