The 502 Come Up

As 2015 comes to an end, we take a look back at the artists that rose to the spotlight in the past year or so. Fetty Wap, Post Malone, just two that have really grown in such a short time, however, out of all artists that grew in 2015, Bryson Tiller should definitely not be forgotten. With his first album “Trapsoul,” Bryson Tiller arose somewhat quietly with over 100,000 copies sold so far. And it’s not about the money or sales, instead it’s about how this album really cemented Bryson Tiller into the RNB and hip-hop world. With songs like “Don’t” and “Sorry Not Sorry,” Bryson Tiller is able to show off his skills as not only a rapper, but a singer and a pretty damn good songwriter. And at the young age of 22, Bryson Tiller is already making a name for himself with his release of Trapsoul.

To say an artist has already established himself after just his or her first album is definitely rare, however with Bryson Tiller I think it’s the truth. The album is just superb; it shows that Bryson can really do whatever he wants in the music industry. He wants to sing? Let em sing. He wants to rap? Let em rap. His talents range and that’s why he has an advantage against other artists. At such a young age, Bryson can take his talents and mold them into an awesomely diverse album. However with so many young rappers coming about in just this past year, it is going to be quite the task to surpass some of those who may statistically have a better shot at making it big.

What is it that we can see for the future of the Kentucky native? Bryson has definitely shown that he has his head in the game. With some hard work and dedication, Bryson easily has the skills to craft an even more excellent album. An album with as much diversity as it has depth is what Bryson Tiller needs to become a staple in the RNB and Hiphop game. Bryson may need to come out of his comfort zone however, and he’s really going to have to make sure he doesn’t cater to those that like his singing more than his rapping and vise versa. The tone of his next album needs to be addressed within the first couple of songs, and if he does all of this correctly, I’m sure we will see Bryson Tiller evolve from an up and coming artist to a high profile artist.
